The Boiler House came on my radar after my friends who run Essential Vegan (go try their “honey” cake) started a weekend stall inside. I frequent East London’s Sunday Upmarket purely to visit the Ethiopian food stall Ethiopiques, so I was elated to find them just around the corner from the cake. It’s unlike what I’ve tried at various Ethiopian restaurants, but just as tasty, with a huge selection of salads and hot dishes served alongside (and inside of) injera. If you’re around Brick Lane in search of East London vegan eats on the weekend, I highly recommend treating yourself to a plate of grub from Ethiopiques, followed by a cake chaser. Obviously.
