I wrote this review last week, during what was clearly a very turbulent time. Also, yes, I still call sweets candy (but I say sweets when I'm pretending in my head that I live in an English Seaside town in like 1887).

Day four with no internet at home and I don't know how much longer I can hang in. Throughout this harrowing experience sugar has been my, crap, what's the right word? I would look it up on the internet, except the internet gods have deemed me unworthy. At least there is still a mound of sugar in my kitchen that just got bigger after discovering the SugarSin sweets shop. I'll be okay.
I'm not sure how this has been off my radar, and maybe I'm the last one to know about it, but SugarSin in Covent Garden is a vegan pic 'n mix goldmine. And at £1.49 per 100 grams, it isn't as wildly expensive as it could be for the area.
Not everything is suitable, but vegan items are clearly marked (as are other allergens). It's gummy sweets galore, with four varieties of cola sweets and a few different liquorice candies too. Lots of them are salty though, so be careful because that's a pretty big shock if you aren't expecting it. It's like liquorice + salt + ammonia, which sounds horrible but is somehow pleasant. Except for the skulls, which are like a salt lick and don't belong in a sweet shop.
