PR and Review Policy

If you wish to contact me for promotional reasons, please read this page first.

Please do not contact me about any of the following:

  • any non-vegan, speciesist, or discriminatory content
  • any work you are not prepared to pay for with money. I do not work for product only and I do not shill for anyone.
  • diet or fitness foods/products
  • superfoods and anything claiming to be healthy or healing
  • paid articles/sponsored posts
  • link insertions
  • link exchanges

Messy Vegan Cook is a website featuring recipes, restaurant reviews, vegan travel notes, and food related inspiration, supported by high quality images. The primary focus is on Thai food and travel. All content and recipes are original and all opinions are my own. I engage in a mix of factual insight, sarcasm, and dry humour in composing my articles and recipes.

Messy Vegan Cook focuses on honest, reliable, helpful, humorous, fun, and informative content without being preachy.

I avoid judgemental and discriminatory content. I do not promote dieting (e.g. detoxing, cleanses, weight loss), health fads (e.g. superfood consumption), and fad diets that ignore evidence against them (e.g. paleo).

Within the guidelines outlined above, I am happy to be contacted about products and/or services for review so long as they are a good fit with the website. I no longer accept products in exchange for review. I do not work for free.

I also expect you to tell me in specific terms what you are proposing. If you want to work together, tell me what it is you want and not a variation on "could we work together on something?"

I will only write what I think. That is I will not write a positive review because I have been paid to write an editorial piece or have been sent a free sample. I do not accept, under any circumstances, content written by others (with the exception of quoted material).

If you wish to contact me for recipe development or content creation, please contact me to discuss. Again, I do not do this for free under any circumstances.

Advertising

Messy Vegan Cook is not opposed to advertising, given the right fit. I expect you will have browsed the site to get a feel for my content. If your product/service meets the criteria mentioned at the start of this post, feel free to get in touch. You can contact me to discuss rates.

Please consider these guidelines before submitting a request for either ad space or work. If you or your brand are interested in advertising or in consultation, please present a brief summary of your idea(s) and/or needs when writing to me.
